Synopsis
Friends gather at Keisuke and Kei, a long-term relationship couple’s apartment to celebrate their new marriage, but midway through the party, Kei, who is pregnant, complains of a dull pain in her lower back. The next day, Kei receives a postcard from a friend congratulating her on her marriage and pregnancy – Kei sees the picture on the postcard and, coupled with the pain in her back, loses her mental balance, and soon an illusion invades her daily life…….

This short film Initial K., which was invited to the Humboldt International Film Festival (USA 1994) and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France 1994), the largest short film festival in the world, and is archived in the collection of the CNC (Centre national du Cinéma et de l’Image animée) library in France.
